SGB‑series products are open‑type dry‑type transformers adopting DuPont (USA) technology, designated as SG type with H‑class thermal insulation rating. The transformers apply DuPont NOMEX paper insulation. NOMEX paper features excellent anti‑aging, shrink‑resistance and compression‑resistance properties, ensuring compact coil structure even after years of operation. Adopting segmented‑layer winding structure, the coils are processed by VPI vacuum‑pressure cyclic impregnation with H‑class solvent‑free insulating varnish followed by high‑temperature curing. It delivers outstanding electrical, heat‑dissipation, mechanical and insulating performances, and ranks among domestic distribution transformers with relatively high insulation class.

Benefiting from superior properties of NOMEX paper, SGB‑series dry‑type transformers are applicable to almost all critical locations. They are especially suitable for harsh environments with strict fire‑safety requirements, large load fluctuations, pollution and high humidity, such as high‑rise buildings, underground constructions, airports, transportation hubs, communication & information centers, key urban‑renewal facilities, densely‑populated urban areas, commercial centers, nuclear power plants, nuclear submarines and other sites where oil‑immersed transformers are not suitable.
