Fulfilling its commitment to reliable product quality under extreme alpine conditions, SEC Hanbian has successfully completed the customized production and full delivery of 41 sets of high-altitude dry-type transformers for Tibet Ali Mamicuo Mining Development Co., Ltd. All equipment has been smoothly installed and officially commissioned at the 4,500-meter-high project site. With all operational indicators stable and reliable, the transformers provide solid and continuous power guarantee for the normal production of the mining area.
Located in Mami Township, Gaize County, Ngari Prefecture, Tibet, the project sits at an ultra-high altitude of 4,500 meters, featuring extremely harsh plateau operating conditions. The local environment is characterized by thin air, huge temperature differences between day and night, and intense ultraviolet radiation, which raises extremely stringent requirements for the insulation performance, heat dissipation efficiency and weather resistance of electrical equipment. Ordinary plain-type electrical equipment cannot adapt to such extreme working environments.
Upon receiving the order, SEC Hanbian’s professional technical team launched targeted design optimization tailored to ultra-high altitude operating characteristics. To adapt to the low-pressure plateau environment, the team carried out professional upgrades on equipment insulation gaps, heat dissipation systems, temperature control protection and anti-ultraviolet and anti-corrosion performance. The entire production and factory testing process was implemented in strict accordance with high-altitude equipment standards, ensuring that all products fully adapt to the complex and harsh operating conditions of the snow plateau.
All 41 dry-type transformers completed manufacturing in December 2025. Faced with long-distance transportation and difficult plateau logistics conditions, the company coordinated production, quality inspection and logistics departments as a whole. We strictly controlled factory acceptance standards and formulated a detailed large-scale equipment transportation plan, ensuring the safe and intact delivery of all equipment to the Ali project site after a long cross-region journey. With the joint efforts and coordination of the owner and construction team, all transformers completed in-place installation, commissioning and official operation. The stable power supply effectively supports the exploitation of lithium and boron resources at the Mamicuo Salt Lake Project and empowers the green and high-quality development of the plateau mining industry in Tibet.
The successful operation of this ultra-high-altitude project fully verifies the outstanding reliability of SEC Hanbian’s dry-type transformers in extreme environments and further enriches the company’s practical experience in customized power equipment supply for high-altitude projects. In the future, SEC Hanbian will continue to focus on the R&D and manufacturing of special electrical equipment for plateau extreme scenarios. Adhering to reliable product quality and professional after-sales service, we will continuously contribute high-standard electrical solutions to engineering construction and energy development in China’s western border regions.
