BE Petrol Engineering EPC Yan'an LNG Project 110kV Main Substation Successfully Energized in One Go

Recently, the 110kV main substation of the Yan'an Gas Storage & Peak-Shaving and Supporting LNG Project, undertaken by Beijing Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd. (BE Petrol Engineering) as the EPC contractor, was successfully energized and put into operation in one go. The core facilities of the project's power supply system have been officially commissioned, laying a solid power foundation for subsequent trial operation, commissioning, and final production.

The substation is equipped with advanced core equipment, including two 110kV incoming lines, two 40,000kVA transformers, GIS equipment, and a power distribution system. Electrical installation work in the switchgear room commenced in July 2025. After four months of intensive efforts, all installation and commissioning was completed in December of the same year. Following rigorous acceptance inspection and rectification, the system achieved standard-compliant power delivery. Both sets of equipment were manufactured by SEC Hanzhong Transformer, with the SZ22-40000/110 transformers contributing outstanding performance and ensuring reliable operation for the project.

During the energization process, the project team organized and deployed the work meticulously, developing a detailed power transmission plan and strengthening safety management controls. Responsible personnel from all professional disciplines conducted comprehensive inspections of critical components. With close coordination among the owner, equipment manufacturers, and other stakeholders, the impact tests were successfully completed as planned, with all electrical parameters meeting design requirements, thus accomplishing the energization task with high quality.

This successful energization marks a new phase in the project's construction, providing stable and reliable power assurance for subsequent system integration commissioning and project commissioning.
